Sue Darrow founded Sue Darrow's School of Dance in the Plymouth, Wisconsin community over 30 years ago. Sue's first dance studio started with Sue teaching dance lessons from her home. Since then, the studio, while under the instruction and care of Sue, has grown into a well-known and beloved dance studio now located in beautiful downtown Plymouth. In 2013, Sue passed her title as studio owner on to Brittany Wusterbarth - a student since age 4, and instructor with Sue since 2004.
Sue, with 41 years of Professional Dance Experience, began her studies under the direction of Shirley Van, Shirley Van's Dance Studios in Green Bay, WI. Sue is a current Certified Member of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and Dance Masters of Wisconsin. She is currently a judge with Dance Masters of Wisconsin for numerous scholarships in the junior and senior divisions. Sue has studied with professional choreographers and dancers for the past 25 years in Chicago and Los Angeles.
Sue has choreographed and performed in numerous dance recitals in the Midwest. Her local teaching experience consists of 30 years of dance instruction in the City of Plymouth. Sue's students have won dance awards in dance competitions across the Midwest , and have been accepted through auditions at professional dance schools and professional Dance Companies.
Sue's additional teaching experience includes being a staff member and assistant teacher with Peninsula Summer Dance Camp, where she has taught summer and weekend sessions. Sue also was a staff member of the Lakeland College Summer Music Camp, where she taught multiple dance forms. She has choreographed musicals and plays throughout the community. Sue continues to serve the community, educating the local high schools and grade schools by teaching various forms of dance.
Sue has also completed and aired two dance video documentaries.
